Save Undershaw House: Submissions needed!
As mentioned here [x] I have decided to try and pull together the efforts of the Sherlock fandom to make a book supporting Undershaw House.
(The home of Sherlock Holmes mastermind and altogether eccentric English inspiration, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.)
Today I’m starting to take submissions of any form (of any adaptations).
This includes:
- Drawings
- Poems
- Graphics
- Short Stories
- Long stories (extract)
- Lyrics
- Research/facts
- Anything else that can go in a book
Just submit it here and title it under one of the following themes:
- Beneath the Hat: Who is Sherlock Holmes? (So, profiles and facts, quotations etc about the character)
- Domestic Life at 221b (Everyday comings and goings of Baker Street)
- The Fall (Yes, that fall. Angst welcome through the tears)
- 1895 (Things of the era, the style, the general feeling of the Victorian Age)
- The Game is Afoot (The general chase within cases, fighting and chasing and lying in wait)
- Please keep “crack” to limit, remain as canon as possible (inside jokes are fine: a pot of jam lying around or a stray kitten) and feel free to recommend artists I should contact.
- I will not use artist content without permission, and I am currently drafting letters to various companies to get the all clear on the use of Sherlock Holmes.
- The profit is pride: the money is for charity. (Undershaw cannot currently accept money, so anything raised will go to a charity which will be voted for.)
- There are no deadlines yet. I just need samples to send of with the letters some time in the sort of distant future.
- Working title for the book is “The Art of Deduction”.
