To the anon with social anxiety:
I don’t deal with social anxiety personally, but my boyfriend does, and I have a very good friend who does as well. My friend takes medication for her panic attacks, and when she has them in public (it’s not too often) she just needs someone to talk or hug it out with her. My boyfriend says that he makes sure to make ample time for himself in order to promote a calm state when he’s out in public. He says that being around people is draining, so he uses his alone time to charge his batteries (so to speak). That, and if he’s out, he tries to be around people he knows and trusts so that there is less pressure on him specifically and the attention can be spread around to the group. Finally, if you’re in a place like school or work, I would try and find a quiet place where you can escape and relax for a few minutes if you need to. I hope this helps.
